Apprenticeship
Earn While You Learn!
Local 507, through apprenticeship, provides an entry-level system
of training individuals through the Laborers' Employment and Traing
School to allow individuals to become skilled labor trades-people.
The Southern California Laborers' Joint Apprenticeship Committee has a state-approved apprenticeship program to train individuals in pipe laying, concrete and asphalt work, traffic control, landscaping, demolition, environmental remediation and other Laborer-related skills.
Minimum qualifications for applicants are: 1) you must be at least 18 years of age, and 2) you must be physically able to perform the work.
To enter the program, all applicants must pass:
- a strength and endurance test
- an oral interview
- a drug test
